Soft drinks between meals and chewing gum can add to your pains as they make you swallow extra air leading to cramps and belching. Try eating regular, small meals. Sit down when you eat and take time to chew. Don't lie down straight after a meal, and avoid acidic trigger foods like mint and curry.
