
![]() Cross-training is a great way for runners to give their running muscles a rest and help strengthen their non-running muscles, so balancing their muscle groups. Swimming is ideal, as it will lessen stress on the joints, which are often a sore point for runners, and give runners, especially those who run long distances, a much-needed mental break from running. Swimming also allows runners with certain injuries to work out, and is extremely relaxing for many!
