We would like to congratulate some of our runnyknows people who have run in various events this month. Well done to Amy, who ran like the wind in the Glasgow Great Scottish Run on October 6th, finishing in an amazing time of 1h31! Congrats also to Claire G., who ran the Birmingham Half Marathon on October 20th in 2h15, and to Claire P. who finished the Royal Parks Half in 2h12. And last but not least, a very well done to Ian who ran the Dublin Marathon today in 3h30! You're all brilliant!
We enjoyed a brilliant and sunny Beside the Seaside 10k run with Simon from Carlisle this morning. This peaceful run with gorgeous sea views was a perfect way to start the day. Well done, Simon!
Well done to Georgette, who took part in the II Crono Escalada Puig Santa Magdalena mountain run today, and especially to little Angelina who also ran, proudly sporting her Runnyknows t-shirt. Go, Angie!
Ruth, aka. Pocket Rocket, ran with us in the summer and was determined to come back and run our 'On Cloud 9' 14k route, which she did this morning. A fabulous run along country lanes and mountain track up to the peak where we were rewarded with stunning views over the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia. Amazing sunny weather
for the end of October, great sensations and fabulous company! Well done, Ruth!
Some hot and humid running took place in Palma this morning! Various runnyknowses ran in the Palma TUI half and full marathons. Well done to Jude and her friend, Jo, Ruth and Jason, Wendy and her trusty personal trainer/husband who accompanied her on his bike and to Miguel who bravely signed up for the full marathon! The post-race beers were very very welcome (see Ruth and Jason in the photo)!
A leisurely and enjoyable 7k jog and ramble through the Hidden Valley this morning in the rain with the lovely Gina. A refreshing way to start the day!
A fantastic 'On Cloud 9' 14k run this morning with Fabian from Zurich in Switzerland. Fit, fast and fun, Fabian was first to the top of the hill. Here he is waiting patiently for us and admiring the views! From the summit, he spotted
another hill he liked the look of and so ran up that one, too! Well done, Fabian!
Congratulations to our Pocket Rocket, Ruth (centre), for completing the Chester Marathon today in a very respectable time of 4h09m - a PB for Ruth. Conditions were warm, the second half of the course was sightly hilly and poor Ruth had terrible toothache and hadn't been able to eat or sleep well for the days leading up to the race, so she did amazingly and will no doubt be going for sub 4 hours in her next one! Well done, girl!
