![]() We enjoyed a 15k Stairway to Heaven run with Lucinda and Madeleine this morning. We ran 5k along roadside track from the Port into Pollensa old town, then through the pretty streets to the 365+ 'Calvario' steps. We climbed to the top and took in the views (and stroked the cats) before descending and returning to Puerto Pollensa along country roads. Lucinda, from Ayr, impressed us all on the steps whilst 'Mad Mads' went into 'turbo' mode on the country roads just when we thought people would be getting tired and slowing down! Phew! Well done, girls! Bring on breakfast number two! ![]() We loved our Full Monty 11.5k run this morning with Madeleine and Peter. We set off in the dark, over mountain, along coastline, through a little forest and back along country roads in the torrential rain. A great and varied run and we all finished with smiles on our faces (and soggy trainers!). Well done you guys! That's what I call 'living'! ![]() We enjoyed a fabulous 9k run over to Formentor Beach this morning with Madeleine and Peter. We warmed up with a jog along the seafront for a couple of kilometres then climbed five kilometres or so to a viewpoint where we stopped to catch our breath and enjoy the views. Afterwards, we made our way down to the beautiful sandy beach, took in our surroundings and had a dip before driving back. Madeleine and Peter, who are not used to hills, did an amazing job and should feel very proud of themselves for what they've achieved today. Well done, guys! Now for breakfast! Mushroom pizza anyone? ![]() We enjoyed a feel-good Hidden Valley 9k run this morning with our lovely Bulgarian, Peter. Such a peaceful route (apart from Miguel's singing!) through a valley where time seems to stand still. Wild goats, stunning mountain and sea views, the scent of rosemary, the sea air which got us reminiscing about childhood trips to the seaside ... No better way to start the day! Well done, Peter! ![]() We enjoyed a cool Seaside Woodland 9.5k run this morning with Peter. A great workout through shady seaside pine forests finishing on the beautiful Muro beach. Peter is used to running on the road so he did brilliantly on this off-road route today and will probably feel it in his lower legs later! Well done, Peter! Enjoy your well-earned Full English this morning! ![]() We enjoyed a Beside the Seaside 9k run with Peter from Luxembourg this morning. This is a peaceful route along country lanes, through pretty little seaside developments, along rugged coastline, through shady woodland and finishing at the delightful Bonaire Marina. Peter, who doesn't usually get up quite so early, was very pleased that he did and we are all now ready for whatever the rest of today brings. Well done! ![]() We enjoyed a brilliant Full Monty 11.5k (12.3 according to Colin's gadget!) this morning with the fantastic Colin. Great company, amazing views, lots of photos and laughs, the most diverse runner's song list I've ever heard, ranging from Van Morrison to Lady Gaga, and a fair bit of running. Just about perfect! Well done, Colin! I reckon you deserve a Curly Wurly after that! ![]() We enjoyed a Hidden Valley 9k run with Colin from Exmouth this morning. Colin is in training for the Bournemouth Half Marathon next month. We jogged along a stretch of seafront before running into the beautiful valley and along an undulating stony track down to the secluded cove where we stopped to soak up the surroundings before heading back. A really feel-good start to the day! Well done, Colin! ![]() Runnyknows enjoyed a fabulous 23k King's Castle run this morning with Kenny and Nina. A stunning route through natural surroundings. Hilly and hard work but worth it for the views and sensations. I don't know how Kenny from Scotland managed it without breakfast. I'm now on breakfast number three! Well done, guys! |
