I enjoyed a great run in even greater company this morning. Thanks to David, Will, Lesley and Abi for joining me on our On Cloud Nine 14k route. A perfect combination of hills, chat, lovely views and silly photo shoots. David impressed us all with his downhill sprint (now you see him, now you don't!) and went on to run all the way home, so completing around 24k in total - good man! And hats off to Abi who arrived yesterday and was up early and running up hills with us on the first day of her holiday. Some would call it madness ... :) Lovely to meet and run with Lesley and Will who are off home tomorrow but will hopefully be back on the island before too long. Well done, guys!

I had a great morning out with David, Jacob and Lesley this morning. It was good to see David again. He came out with us last year and is currently training for the Amsterdam Marathon in October. Jacob, aged 10, from the Greenwich Tritons, joined his mum Lesley today and ran all 9k of our Tombs and Dunes route with us, the longest run he has done to date. His favourite sporting activity is the triathlon and his ambition is to complete an Ironman. I think that will be well within his capabilities one day. :) We finished this morning's lovely off-road run with a cool dip in the sea. A fabulous way to start the day. Well done, guys!
![]() I enjoyed a gorgeous run with Will from Jersey and Lesley from London this morning. We set out early for our Another Day in Paradise 13k, a beautiful route along country lanes, mountain track and rugged coast. Both Will and Lesley are experienced runners and between them have taken part in 10ks, half marathons, marathons, triathlons and Ironman events. Lesley also does BMF training so there wasn't much hanging around with these two today and we were back well in time for breakfast! Well done, guys! ![]() I had a great run with John and Anna this morning up at Formentor, one of my favourite spots. John has completed six marathons to date and Anna is training for the Peterborough Half Marathon in October. Both get out and run at least four times a week and certainly had me puffing and panting today! A lovely run along mountain road and forest track and a great little workout. Well done, guys! ![]() What a great run and work-out this morning! Thanks to Andy, Claire and Amit for joining us on our On Cloud Nine 14k run. Amit is training for the Great North Run next month and did a brilliant job, Andy just got better and better and our lovely Claire kept her cool throughout without even breaking into a sweat. The route took us along undulating (my favourite word) country lanes and up a peak where the views were stunning, then it was all downhill and flat to the finish. Well done, guys! ![]() We enjoyed a great run with a family of athletes this morning. Gill, Matthew, Mark and Emily joined us for our Tombs and Dunes 9k, a beach and woodland route with interesting sights along the way, including a prehistoric necropolis, medieval farmhouses, Mallorcan pigs and wild leeks (grrrrr!). :) Matthew and Emily, 10 and 12, did a briliant job completing the distance with no problems at all and they especially enjoyed the post-run dip and stone-collecting session. A fab morning! Well done, guys! ![]() We enjoyed a lovely run this morning with mother and daughter, Anne and Claire. Anne has completed three marathons to date including London twice and Claire is training for her first, Abingdon, in October. Today, we ran our Marina Dream 15k route along the coast passing through sleepy little seaside towns and jogging along country lanes. Both ladies ran brilliantly. Now for breakfast number two and a well-deserved lazy Sunday! Well done, girls! ![]() I enjoyed a fabulous run with Ian, Steve, Julie, David and Neal this morning. We ran our Another Day in Paradise 13k, a stunning route with lovely sea and mountain views and a great work-out with plenty of hills and a real mix of terrain. We stopped for a dip in the cool water of a secluded cove before heading back. A wonderful start to the day! Well done, guys! ![]() We enjoyed a fabulous run this morning with some great running friends. Julie, Gill, Mark, Matthew, Emily, David and Chris joined us on our Magic Moments 11k route along mountain road and through woodland to a beautiful little cove where we took a dip and sampled fresh sea urchin Joaquín-style. Gill and Mark's children, Emily (12) and Matthew (10), ran their longest route ever and were absolutely amazing, so a special well done to them. A wonderful way to start the day! ![]() What better way to blow the cobwebs away on a Sunday morning than by going for a run in good company. This morning, Eve, Steve, Fran, Ian, Perry and Ian joined us on our Hidden Valley 7k route along stony track with gorgeous natural surroundings. Eve, Fran's daughter (on my left), plays football back in the UK and ran with us to keep her fitness up, as did Perry (in the blue vest) who is in the army. So, there was a lot of girl power going on today which I loved! :) Always a pleasure to run with the guys too, of course. Well done to you all and thanks to our mountain goat, Joaquín, for introducing us to paths unknown! :) A great morning! |
