![]() Girl power today running up to Lluc! Charlie, Kim, Sonia, Nina and myself (along with Ben for part of the route) headed up the beautiful mountainside to Lluc Monastery, enjoying some parts more than others, where our trusty Miguel was waiting for us to provide some much-needed refreshments. Some of the girls even ran back down again afterwards. Well done to all! Now, breakfast number three and feet up! ![]() Well done to Rebecca from Yorkshire who has stuck religiously to her training schedule whilst on holiday here in Mallorca. Rebecca, in training for the Yorkshire Marathon in October, did our 7 mile Full Monty route with us this morning, has a 20 mile training run lined up back at home for next Monday and is taking part in the Great North Run on September 7th, as part of her training. What a girl! ![]() Miguel and I after having completed the ice bucket challenge this morning. We were nominated by Claire Gorton and Madeleine MacDonald and after our run, got Pep to film us whilst Victoria and Leanne threw buckets of ice cold water over us. Thanks to Pablo at the local bar for providing the buckets, water and ice! We are donating to MND and also sponsoring Matt Crane who is running the Great North Run this year for Prostate Cancer UK. Good fun and all for good causes! ![]() Runnyknows thoroughly enjoyed a Full Monty 11.5k this morning with Abi, Sally, Victoria, Leanne and Geoff. Mountain, stunning coastline, woodland and country road, this is a run for everyone. The gang did brilliantly and helped us out with our ice bucket challenge at the end. (Watch this space!) Thanks, guys! ![]() Runnyknows enjoyed a bright and early Beside the Seaside 10k run this morning with Leanne from Surrey, founder of Run Mummy Run. A pretty little route along country lanes, over beach and rugged coastline, through seaside woodland and finishing in the charming Bonaire marina. Leanne, light on her feet, completed the route in well under an hour even stopping off for photos on the way. Well done, runny mummy! ![]() Well done to our amazing runners for a great effort today! Rebecca, Julie and Victoria ran the Pollensa Half Marathon route with us this morning. 21km in the heat. Victoria sailed in with Pep in 1h44m (uber, super, awesome, ha ha!) and the other girls weren't far behind finishing with Miguel and Toni well in time for breakfast! Rebecca is training for the Yorkshire Marathon in October. Good luck, Rebecca! ![]() Runnyknows enjoyed our On Cloud Nine 14k run this morning with Dean from London and 18-year-old Jack and his dad, Richard, from Jersey. An undulating route along country lanes and up an 'evil' hill to a spot popular with hang gliders, then down and back through mountain woodland, past a lake and through the bustling Alcudia town for a well-deserved cool drink! Dean got to the top of the hill without stopping and even outrunning our amazing Pep, whilst Jack and Richard did a brilliant job too and loved the views. A great morning, guys! Well done! |
