We had a fantastic Stairway to Heaven 15k run with Francesca, Jason, Gordon and Joaquín this morning. Despite the clouds, it was still pretty hot and muggy but we did it and ate those 365 Calvario steps for breakfast! Grrrr! Well done, guys, and a safe trip back to Francesca and Jason! It's been great seeing you both again!
What you see here in the photo is pure quality! These four amazing guys ran the King's Castle 23k this morning, a tough but very special route through natural surroundings. Well done to Mark, Lorne, Pablo and David, four machines!
We had a brilliant Seaside Woodland 9.5k run with this amazing gang this morning! Our Alfie brought along his friend, Aaron, his mum, Jenny, and Super Nan, Deanne! We were also joined by our Jason and Francesca, who competed last night in La Cursa Patrona 7.4k race in Pollensa. We finished the run with a 2-minute plank session and a dip in the sea at the beautiful Muro Beach. Wishing Alfie and his family a safe trip home later today and hope to see you all out here again soon. What an incredible family of runners! Well done!
We had a great evening in Pollensa at the Cursa Patrona 7.4k! Well done to Mark and Francesca who took part and to all their kids who also ran in the children's races. Mark finished third overall in 26m23s. Brilliant! And Francesca beat her last year's time by two minutes AND the route was longer this year, so that is excellent too. Great stuff! (Mark is at the far right of the photo).
What a brilliant 17k run/ramble from Pollensa to Lluc this morning with an amazing group of runners ranging in age from 15 to 69 (I won't mention names!). This was a real feel-good way to start the day, at one with nature and enjoying stunning mountain views. The climb was tough, but we did it and treated ourselves to a cheeky wee beer (or two) at the top. Cheers to you all and to Dad!
We enjoyed a fabulous run with a great bunch of people this morning including our star of the day, 15-year-old Alfie, who ran stretches of the route with Joaquín in under 3m30s/km without so much as breaking into a sweat. Superstar! Well done also to our lovely girls, Shelley, Francesca, Caroline and Ruth, and to the boys, James and Jason - (great to see you back running longer distances this year, Jason!). A fantastic feel-good morning with sparkling sea views and a superb terrain. Now for brekkie. I'm starving!
Well done to three speedy girls: our Jude, Anna from New Zealand and Emma from Sydney! It was a pleasure to show these lovely ladies our Another Day in Paradise 13k route, one of our most popular and scenic runs. These toughies completed the run in well under 1h20m which is amazing taking into account the hills and terrain. I hope you are all sipping cocktails by the pool now, girls! Brilliant!
We enjoyed a 10k run with a great bunch of people this morning. Well done to Caroline, Shelley, Ruth, James, Alexia and our special VIP guest, Joaquín, (with a cameo appearance from Jude who joined us for a few kms) for a hot and sweaty Beside the Seaside run. It was a pleasure and a great way to start the day!
It was SO good to catch up with and run with these guys again. Runners often become great friends because of all the highs and lows they share - the ridiculously early starts and the fatigue, the views and natural surroundings and the excitement they bring, the sweat and the sense of achievement, the injuries and the tears that come with them ... There is a bond and an understanding between runners! This morning, we probably experienced all of that between us in the space of a couple of hours as we ran our White Caves 17k. The heat didn't make the return along the never-ending roadside track easy, but we did it! Well done, guys! You are all brilliant, each and every one of you!
