![]() We enjoyed a fantasic On Cloud Nine run this morning with a great group of runners. We covered an undulating 14k route along country lanes and mountain track, stopping for a little photo session at the top of the hang gliders' hill. Well done to Mark, Claire, Francesca, Matt and John! You definitely deserve a big breakfast now! Thanks, Francesca, for the pics! ¡Salud!

![]() Well done to our Runnyknowses who took part in the Cursa Patrona in Pollensa yesterday. Mark completed the 7.4kms in just over 33 minutes, Erik pipped his dad, Anders, to the post in 36m59. Way to go, Erik! And Shropshire Shuffler, Francesca, finished the hot and hilly route in 45m16s. Meanwhile, Miguel took part in a 5k race in Llubí and finished first in the M60 category in 23m34s. Well done to you all, you champs! As for me, I took a rest day! ![]() We enjoyed a lovely Green Wonderland 8k run with Ruth, Wendy and Francesca this morning. A great little workout through mountain woodland including a short climb up to a viewpoint affording pretty views over Pollensa with its beautiful green surroundings and out to Pollensa bay and beyond. A feel-good way to start the day. Well done, girls! ![]() A fantastic King's Castle run with a great gang this morning! A hilly 23km route through spectacular natural surroundings and we had it all to ourselves!! Ruth and Miguel took a dip down at the cove (no octopus or shark tales this time) where we had time to refuel before the steep climb back up. Well done Mark, John, Anders, Lynda, Ruth and Lucy! What a way to start the day! Time for a very well-deserved breakfast number two now! ![]() Double triumph at the II Cursa Popular Memorial Margalida Ferrer Frau. Our Ruth ran alongside her husband, Jason, and finished third woman overall in the 6k race winning a box of sweaty meat and Johanna (me!) finished first in her category in the 13k winning a 1.5 litre bottle of wine. I reckon I know who got the better deal! Cheers! ![]() We enjoyed a fantastic Seaside Woodland 9.5k run with this amazing lot this morning! Lynda, Fiona, Ruth, Anders, Erik and Jude joined us on a run through beach woodland and a shady little forest, finishing on golden sands where we all enjoyed a cold drink and went for a splash. A special well done to 11-year-old Erik who impressed us with his sprint finish! ![]() We had the most fantastic morning with a great bunch of runners. 17k from Pollensa to Lluc through shady mountain woodland where the views were just stunning. Highlights were limbo dancing under a fence and drinking water fresh from a mountain spring. We finished ... well, some of us finished ... at the monastery, where we thoroughly enjoyed a drink and some 'pa amb oli' at Ca s'Amitger, then Super Shelley and Athletic Anders decided to run home, whilst the rest of us lazy lot hopped in a minibus! Well done, Jude, Shelley, Mark, Anders, Ruth and Fiona! Now for breakfast number three! ![]() We had great fun at the II Cursa Marinera in Puerto Pollensa this evening. A flat 7k with plenty of crowd support. Highlights of the run were me crossing the finish line alongside a lovely guy with flip-flops and Rachel nearly losing her skirt ... I mean skort, not to mention our Mike winning a meal for two in the raffle! Lovely to see Shelly and Mark at the finish line too. Thanks to Toni for accompanying me 'most' of the way and to Mum for taking photos and treating us to a post-race beer. Cheers! |
