We enjoyed a brilliant Another Day in Paradise 13k run with Derek from Ireland this morning. We talked Derek into leaving his comfort zone (level road) and trying a bit of off-road running and some hills. He was amazing and gave us a tough workout! Derek is 56 and discovered his passion and talent for running just 2 years ago. He is getting better and better and will achieve many personal goals, we are sure. A great man and a fabulous example!

We enjoyed a fabulous Stairway to Heaven 15k run with Derek from Wexford in Ireland this morning and were accompanied by perfect weather conditions: cool and fresh. Derek was first to the top of the Calvario steps, though he did have an advantage with legs twice as long as mine! He kept up a very good and constant pace and gave us a very satisfactory (puff pant puff) workout! Well done, Derek!

We enjoyed a sunny Beside the Seaside 10k run with the lovely Shelley who was out recently training for both the Brighton and London marathons with us. She completed those no sweat but isn't stopping there. She has a 10k race lined up back in the UK next weekend and is running an Ultra (100k!!) in September. See you in July, Wonder Woman!

Green Wonderland 8k (5m)

We are pleased to be adding a new run to the itinerary: the Green Wonderland 8k. We begin this scenic route in Pollensa old town and run 1.5km along country lanes to a wonderful little off-road circuit through mountain woodland. An undulating jog over earth, rocks, steps and paving stones keeps us on our toes and we enjoy the shade of the towering pines along the way. During this peaceful and pretty run, we catch glimpses of the nearby Puig de Maria and of lovely Pollensa town. Halfway along the route, we climb a kilometre or so to a viewpoint where the views over Pollensa and to the mountains and sea beyond are stunning. We then descend to finish the 3km circuit of the wood. Covering 8km approximately in total with the run to and from Pollensa, this is one of our shorter runs. A nice little workout, especially for the lower legs.
