![]() We enjoyed a run in the sun this morning with Liz and James. Liz from Cardiff is out here cycling and fancied getting a bit of running in too and James from Liverpool, a regular here on the island, simply needs to get out and run, so we took them on our Full Monty 11.5k route. Both runners kept up a good steady pace throughout. Well done, guys!

![]() Hooray! The sun came out for us and we had a great morning with Sharon, Shelley and Mark. We began with our beautiful Hidden Valley 9k trail route where we got extremely muddy and I definitely heard Mark, a cyclist and triathlete, say: 'I love running!' and continued with our Countryside to Coast 9k along flat country lanes. This was the first time Sharon from Stoke had ever attempted such a long distance. She was originally just going to do the first run with us but was easily persuaded to carry on. She did brilliantly and her pizza lunch and afternoon of relaxation on the beach will be very well-deserved. Shelley, our superwoman ultra runner, did fabulously, as always, though her cute neon trainers will need a good clean now! Well done, guys! ![]() We went down to Palma today and I had the privilege of being a pacer in the half marathon setting the pace for a 1h45m finish. Determined to get it right, I ran with two watches and a little piece of paper clutched in my hand with the times I had to reach each km mark. I finished in 1h44m43s having helped a number of runners along the way, including one young athlete who achieved a pb time, so it was a great and worthwhile experience. |
