Runnyknows took part in the Sa Llego race this evening in Sa Pobla. With over 1600 participants, there was an amazing atmosphere and many runners bought and sported a special orange T-shirt to raise money and awareness for sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis. A great run for a great cause. All runners came away with a bag of spuds and a commemorative terracotta cup.
Well done to Miguel for coming first in the M65 category in the 1st S'Alqueria Blanca Half Marathon today in a time of 1h50m34s.
This morning, we jogged from Pollensa to Lluc; 19km approx. through wooded mountains and past natural springs, completely at one with nature, finishing at the impressive Lluc Monastery to refuel in one of the eateries there. Hope some of you will be able to run this wonderful route with us later in the year.
We would like to wish a very fit and healthy New Year to everybody out there, especially those who have shared fabulous running moments with us. We began the first day of the year with a very leisurely 18km run along the seafront and through country lanes, so starting the year as we mean to go on. The sky was blue, the birds were singing ... Life is good when you run! Hope to see you all in 2014! Cheers!
